β What is the AI Interview Retake Limit setting?
This feature allows Admins to control how many times a candidate can retake an AI interview for a given job.
You can choose from the following limits:
- No retake (candidates cannot try again)
- 1, 2, or 3 retries
Unlimited retries
β±οΈ Only completed interviews count toward the retake limit. Incomplete attempts under 2 minutes do not count.
πΈ Admin view of retake setting:
π Where do I set the company-wide retake limit?
Admins can go to Settings > Admin > AI Interview Settings and choose the company default.
You can also choose to Allow job-level overrides β enabling individual recruiters to customize this per job.
π§βπΌ What if I want different retake rules for different jobs?
If the βAllow job-level overrideβ box is checked, recruiters will see the retake limit option during job setup and can tailor it per role.
πΈ Job-level retake override in action:
π Who can change retake limit settings?
- Admins can set company-wide defaults and toggle the override option.
- Recruiters can adjust the limit during job setup only if job-level override is enabled.
π What happens when a candidate hits the retake limit?
They will see a message explaining theyβve reached the limit and will no longer be able to take the interview again with the same email address.
β οΈ How are retakes shown in the UI?
If a candidate completes multiple interviews for the same job, AIR will flag them in two places:
1. Interview Table
An alert icon (β οΈ) will appear next to their name.
Hovering over the icon will show: βMultiple interview attemptsβ
2. Scorecard View
The same icon and label will appear in the left-side panel under candidate info.
π Note: This flag is not visible on externally shared scorecards.
